The data published on this website is the outcome of the research commissioned by The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) on Cybersecurity for Development in the 4th Industrial Revolution (CD4IR).

A 10% increase in Internet Penetration enables up to 8.2% increase in GDP per capita. In addition, a 10% increase in Cybersecurity Maturity enables up to 5.4% increase in GDP per capita in Africa.
